In the last 6 years Mike has built a career from his life long passion for health and fitness.
After graduating from Michigan State University with a B.S. in exercise science Mike searched for a career path that would allow him to incorporate his background as a collegiate soccer player, marathon runner and tri-athlete while making a difference in society.
His pursuit led him to Chicago and Core Fitness where he utilizes his experience to improve orthopedic dysfunction, postural inferiorities and athletic performance.
As the coordinator of Core Fitness Enhancements “Self Propelled” training program, Mike is responsible for the design, execution and promotion of Chicago’s best endurance athlete training program.
Mike has also worked hard to develop relationships with Chicago retailers including; Lulu Lemon Athletica, Momentum, Origins and Universal Sole, establishing monthly lectures and demonstration events.
Although he has consistently contributed time and information to running organizations including: Joints in Motion, Chicago Fit and The Road to Boston, Mike is most proud of his efforts to support a local philanthropic organization, Team M3 (MGR Foundation) a Chicago based youth organization dedicated to helping at risk youth overcome physical, emotional and financial barriers through fitness.
Mike is excited about the future with Core Fitness and is thankful for the opportunity to progress his knowledge of elite training information with Core Fitness’s in-house educational development program highlighting information from experts including; Charles Poliquin and Paul Chek, while pursuing his passion to compete as an elite endurance athlete.
In his spare time Mike enjoys painting, shooting pool and spending time at local tea and coffee houses reading. Mike also enjoys traveling. His most recent excursion brought him to Sweden to spend time with his brother living abroad.
